This blog functions as an index to community lots designed for EA worlds (both store and expansion worlds). In addition to those lots specifically designed for EA worlds I might sometimes also link to lots that just fit the general theme of a world. These lots were not created by me and I don't take any credit for them. I either reblog lots I find on tumblr or create a short blog post with some essential information with a link to the download page for lots not hosted on tumblr.
The lots are sorted by world and function.: 1100+ Follower Gift - Modern Heights - a Roaring Heights makeover Mr. Harbuck one of Roaring Heights largest investors had always dreamt of a modern metropolis whilst the rest of the city wallowed in it’s love of the “Golden Age”. Harbuck had a vision. A vision of shining towers, the tallest the world had ever seen their tips almost grand enough to reach the clouds. Harbuck has since passed on but his legacy of towering glass remains. Now a new era of city slickers calls Modern Heights home. What will their story be?

I would recommend downloading the Boardwalk Set if you don’t already have it. I use de-crapified store content. Credits: I have used the following creators lots in the save file: awesims, obeverly and nilxis.: Milagro Salon and Tattoo for Lucky Palms. (Or Starlight Shores, Isla Paradiso) A makeover of Barney’s Salon lot that came with Ambitions, done in a Spanish Colonial style to fit in with any American Southwest/California/Caribbean type neighborhood. I made it specifically for Lucky Palms, but it would work just as well in Starlight Shores and Isla Paradiso, or anywhere where you find Spanish Colonial style architecture. Lot size is 20x30. Requirements: Lucky Palms standard edition, for palm tree only.
If you don’t have LP, you can still use the lot. AMB for basic lot functionality. SHO and IP for build items (windows, doors, plants) and furniture and decor. I also used decor and furniture from LN, Pets, GEN, UL, SEA and WA. If you don’t have any of these EPs, you can use the lot, but the game will replace missing objects with base game items.
CC Required: (all CC used is decorative only and you don’t need it, but whatever you don’t have will be replaced with unrelated base game deco) by heaven by Around the Sims by caterpillar.: The Red House Bar: A cozy little dive bar for Riverview( yes I am back to making Bars!). I have used 4 pieces of cc for this lot. They are fairly commonly known CC so i hope that is not too much of a trouble! Lot Size: 20x30 Requirements: All EPs except ITF, All SPs except KPST,Diesel,Movie stuff.
CC used: 1)The Menus and the Glass of Beer from the from Around the Sims 3. 2) The Mike from the by Around the Sims 3 3) The Art Deco Marquee from the by Baufive Download: ( to be dropped in the Library Folder).: The last lot(s) in the Lunar Lakes Urban Renewal Projectat least until we get another venue that I need to squeeze in here;). Actually, I keep feeling like I am forgetting something and I can’t figure out what it is. There are actually a small number of empty lots since I rearranged things that I will probably be putting houses on but that’s something for another time. These buildings use the from Mod the Sims. Be sure to read the documentation there about use the rugs.
Enrolling in university works a little differently than when you use a university world. Originally I was just going to build shells for the buildings but then noticed that between classes Sims will go into the buildings and hang out with other Sims. They looked a little odd hanging out in empty dark buildings so I furnished them. Furnishings are very basic, I didn’t go through any great effort here, just put the basic things in each of the buildings that would be found in each of the buildings. The art school has easels and sculpting stations as art work hanging everywhere. You will need the from Simsational Designs (while you are there if you don’t have them you will want to get the and that I used). The science center has a classroom and lab area with chemistry tables, the Uni skeleton and science station.
The business school has a classroom and meeting room. The admin building has open offices on the first floor and the second floor functions as a library. I did my best to make it look like I through together a gymnasium where you can play basketball. (You will need the basketball set from the store).
The student union is small but fully functional. I didn’t take a lot of pictures for this. Didn’t think it was necessary. I fully expect people to customize this. There was so much CC I could have used but wanted to keep it down since it was going up for download. THE DETAILS:.
EP’s used: Into the Future, Generations, Ambitions, Supernatural, University, Pets & Seasons. This is a set of 8 lots. They are all in the same zip file.
If you check out the second map of Lunar Lakes located you can see where I placed the university. This is a huge area that is routed for buildings that I put to use. Because the majority of the lots are 25 x 25 and placed so close together I felt that it didn’t matter that there were no sidewalks/roads connecting up the buildings like in the university worlds. This school was designed to be functional where no one had to leave the world to attend school.
(Talk about unrealistic for an alien worldsending them back to Earth long enough to get a degree then back to the alien world that they that they are supposed to be stranded on. Only EA.) It serves this purpose. There are no dorms. No need for them, as Sims are supposed to travel from home to school. It’s all in the same world. If you want to build dorms and move Sims into them there is plenty of room in the area that I built the school.
I feel like I am forgetting some important details so if you have any questions, please visit my ask box.: Lunar Lakes Urban Renewal Project - Lunar Lakes Community Garden I deleted one of the dome “Memory of” parks to make room for this. Those parks are so useless (except maybe the festival lot) as Sims rarely visit them. They take up room, serve no practical purpose and are an act of redundancy. Yea, the idea is cool for the story that EA gave Lunar Lakes butno. So, it’s on a custom 50 x 52 lot. I think it was Memory of Riverview I deleted.
At any rate it’s the one located at 146 Avenue of the Asteroids. It’s #7 on and still shows as a dome. This thing turned out to be a monster and it takes forever to render on my computer. Consider that a warning.
I am sorry for that. I really had no idea that was going to happen. THE DETAILS:. The lot contains a good portion of the harvestables from every EP and the store.
I wasn’t able to fit in everything, but you will need every EP for this thing. Bohemian Garden. Stones Throw Greenhouse. Grandpa’s Glenn. Lucky Palms (the wishing well still isn’t a separate item).
The arboretum from Supernatural is used. I thought about building a more modern one that would fit in better but didn’t want to add CC to this thing to make it worse.
(I don’t consider the poppies CC since they were just extracted from Monte Vista and enabled for all worlds). There are a ton of plants used in the courtyard from the store that I have no idea where they all came from. I am assuming they came with various worlds. I do know that there are Dragon Valley plants.
I think that’s everything.: Lunar Lakes Urban Renewal Project - Oasis Shoreline I turned the Lunar Lakes Beach, Oasis Shoreline, into a resort because I thought it would be cool for the residents of Lunar Lakes to have a vacation spot. The spiral lake has been left intact but everything else is gone and the lot size has not changed. THE DETAILS:. Currently a three star resort. It will be a challenge to upgrade the resort as space is limited, but the bungalows (I think that’s what they are called) have been upgraded and there are two VIP rooms.
Buffet. Bar. Swimming Pool. Golf. The lake does allow for ice skating (thought I would throw that out there for anyone who hasn’t played Lunar Lakes in the winter). EP/SPs needed: Ambitions, Into the Future, Pets, Island Paradise (resort will NOT work without IP) & Seasons. Custom Content: Walls from Simsational Designs ( and ) (Source: ).
From what I've read on tweets, the live broadcast, and the forums, it seems like the inspiration of this world was multiple cities (correct me if I'm wrong though). Influences came from: Miami, Chicago, New York City, and also a huge inspiration came from The Great Gatsby. It's also set in the time period close the 1920's and 1930's where Art Decor was quite fashionable and popular! The description of the world says: 'Welcome to a city where bold shapes, rich colors, and lavish looks rule the skyline!
The residents of Roaring Heights are living in the fast lane in this booming place filled with striking skyscrapers and bustling beaches. Whether you're content to hang out on the piers, work your way to the top, or host glamorous parties at home, there's a place for every lifestyle in Roaring Heights.
With endless opportunities at your front door, which new life will you choose in Roaring Heights?' Part Eight: Overall Review This is the summary of everything that I have pointed out in all of the parts above. This will be an overall review of what I think of this world and hopefully you can choose whether to purchase the world or not with or without my review. Price: 10/10 As how it's sold, it is one of the better deals than any of the other store worlds out there and falls in the same category as Monte Vista and Dragon Valley. You get tons of objects and clothing with this world for the price of just $20 and it's well worth your money. If you want to save even more, then buy the Gold Edition and you are getting 1900 Simpoints at a small discount plus an extra Gold Exclusive Boardwalk Attire set. World: 10/10 This world reminds me of Miami, Florida (to an extent of course) and has beautifully layout for where you can live.
You can live by the beach, or in the subarbs, or even live downtown! There is plenty of room to place your own lots in and customization has no boundary! The rabbitholes are also wonderfully designed and flesh out this world even further making it look like a city. Although it's not a true city world (in terms of gameplay) you can make it into a city with content from Late Night and Showtime in order to fully flesh it out! Theme: 10/10 Art Deco, Glitz Glam, 1920-30's, Hollywood, Great Gatsby. The theme is just refreshing and not too unrealistic, and at the same time: stylish, vintage, and any other words I haven't described perfectly what this world is.
This is an amazing world and while I was hesitant at first in an Art Deco world, I was blown away at how the theme was approached. I think the store team has done a good job using the theme of many different historical aspects and pop culture into this particular world. Premium Content: 6/10 While it's not the best premium content out there, it provides interactions that were missing with cars in The Sims 3. It is sad that it's only tied to this vehicle and I would have given it 10 stars if it had the ability to utilize all vehicles that have been released prior. Sadly, it's understandable with the low amount of time and the complex coding needed for this content, so it didn't happen. The interaction are nice and the vehicle looks very vintage, fit for Roaring Heights.
Other than that, I'm not too thrilled about the Premium Content and was more thrilled in the Build/Buy content that came with this world. Build/Buy Content: 10/10 I loved everything that came with Roaring Heights! The new Skyscraper Tops, the Art Deco build objects, everything! One of my favorites is probably the new skylight that came with this world, along with the neon light tubes for different ways in customizing and decorating your clubs and bars.

Roaring Heights introduced a new way in building your commercial lots, and also a new way in making your own apartments (if you have Late Night also). CAS Content: 6/10 I'm not too thrilled about the clothing that came with this world. I am a fan of the new female hairstyles, but other than that the clothing did not grab my attention. I'm not much of a Create-A-Sim kind of guy, so there isn't much else I can say. Overall Review: 8.6/10 Roaring Heights was a refreshing release compared to Dragon Valley and Midnight Hollow.
It provided a city aspect to The Sims 3 Store and not to mention some wonderfully designed Art Deco objects that came with this world. While there are some positives and negatives with this world, I found more positives personally in order to utilize my gameplay I have thought of for Roaring Heights. Other than that, I'd recommend getting it if you are a Gatsby Fan, Floridia Fan, City Fan, Art Deco Fan, or anything that Roaring Heights fits the description of. Hope you guys enjoyed this review! Keep your eyes peeled for The Sims 3 Boardwalk Venue Review coming soon!
There I will talk about the Roller Coaster Pieces and other content that come with the venue. Post navigation.
